Breasts Causing Trouble in Gotham City: Censorship in 'Batman: The Animated Series"


Men will never understand how annoying it is to have breasts. They get in the way, they get sweaty, good bras are hard to find, and it hurts like hell to fall face down. However, the censors did understand the last one...and their concern was expressed in the 'Batman: The Animated Series' script notes. And your parents said you don't learn anything from watching cartoons...

Josie and the Mystery of the Disappearing Side Characters: Josie and the Pussycats' Origin Story


Today, fellow scholars, I want to tell you about the mystery of the disappearance of one of my favorite female comic book sidekicks - Pepper. (As seen above - a foreshadowing of her future perhaps?) Although it seems like a pretty simple case of a change in cast, the history goes much deeper than that. In fact, the history is directly related to the creation of the 'Scooby Doo, Where Are You?' cartoon! And your parents said you don't learn anything from watching cartoons...

Introduction

I know more about cartoon history than, shamefully, American history or any other history at all. I rarely get a chance to share its fascinating and complicated history, and so I decided to make a blog.
